Fellow Seaman

Would you rather live in the midst of excellent hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing, mountaineering, horseback riding, music festivals and mountain scenery or next to the Union Hall?

I’ve been sailing for close to three decades and I’ve always lived on the coast. I think I’ve found a better way. My family and I now live in Teton Valley, Idaho. I still sail, but now when I’m off the ship, I’m off the ship, with many things to do. Darby Ranch is in the hub of historic Teton Valley with attractions in all directions. Jackson Hole, WI is 32 miles to the southeast. Grand Targee Ski Resort is 12 miles to the northeast. A Snake River boat launch is 30 miles to the southwest providing access to one of the best fishing rivers in the world (it doesn’t even have a catch limit). Yellowstone and Teton National Parks lie less that 80 miles to the North. This is a fun place to live.

We have built a small, custom subdivision set up against the Teton Mountains. We would like to invite you to consider becoming our neighbor. The lots are 2½ to 4 acres with blacktop roads, the phone lines are underground and fiber optic. All lots are irrigated, with riding trail access. Darby Ranch features a five-acre common area containing a trout pond and outdoor riding arena. The pond and entrance are landscaped with large native trees and lawns. A mile way is the Targee National Forest, which boarders on the Jedediah Smith Wilderness Area, which boarders on Grand Teton National Park, which makes for a heck of a trail ride or backpacking trip.

Darby Ranch works equally well as a safe place to raise a family or as a truly superior vacation home. There are two regional airports within a 90-minute drive, Jackson to the east and Idaho Falls to the west. Salt Lake City is several hours to the south. Driggs is the county seat of Teton County and 2 miles to the northwest; it is a rapidly developing western resort town with all of the necessities.

Real Estate prices are better than they have been in years; Interest Rates remain near their historic lows. The 2 ½ acre lots start in the low 140’s. This is a great time to upgrade your lifestyle.
