Some of the best big game hunting
in the country is in Idaho. Big game available to
hunt includes elk, moose, big horn sheep, mountain
goat, antelope, black bear, deer and mountain lion.
Most tags and licenses are available over the
counter and two thirds of the state is public land.
Talk about a hunter’s paradise!
Idaho has incredible resident
hunter program where for a few hundred dollars you
can take two elk, two deer, two pronghorn and a
moose. That is a lot more than I want to shoot, but
it indicates the amount of wild game that abounds
here.
Ducks and geese are available to
waterfowl hunters. Upland game birds include quail,
grouse, dove, pheasant, turkey and chukar. Get
yourself a shotgun and a dog and you’ll be busy all
autumn long. |
